Job Purpose
The Immigration Solicitor will be a passionate and ambitious legal professional with at least 3 - 5 years PQE running a healthy caseload of Immigration matters for their clients.

• The role will involve handling a privately funded immigration case load.
• This will be an interesting and diverse workload where the successful Solicitor will be self-driven with strong drafting skills to formulate representations.
• The candidate will be expected to actively manage and develop client relationships including the day-today communication and contact with our clients, preparing a variety of personal immigration applications in addition to providing advice on complex UK immigration, appeals and litigation issues.
• Key attributes of the immigration caseworker/solicitor include having strong work ethics, good immigration experience, good delivery of work, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a personality to match.
• The Solicitor will need to have at least three years’ experience of providing advice, casework and representation in and immigration law.
• Advising on all right to work matters, sponsor license applications and compliance issues

 

Competency Requirements
• You will ideally have gained 3 - 5+ years’ experience within an immigration team, regional or nationally.
• A strong passion for immigration law
• Exceptional communication skills and confidence in ability.
• Capable of dealing with vulnerable clients in a sensitive manner and ensures client care standards are high.
• A genuine delivery of client care, with the client kept up to date at a moment’s change.
• Familiarity with Proclaim desirable but not essential

 

Skills & Qualifications
• Qualified Solicitor with 3 - 5+ PQE
• Registered with the Law Society Immigration Accreditation
• Experience running own caseload of client immigration matters, including visas, work permits, asylum seekers, business immigration, and beyond.
• Able to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
• Meticulous, with good organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Compassionate and empathetic with a drive to help people.
• Works well independently and with a team.
• Lateral approach to problem solving.
